The beaches Thong Nai Pan Noi & Thong Nai Pan Yai bilden zusammen die wohl schönste und beliebteste Bucht auf Koh Phangan und liegen im Nordosten der Insel. Beide Strände sind echte Traumstrände mit weißem, weichem Sand, türkisfarbenem Meer und umgeben von tropischem Regenwald.
Da das sonst allgegenwärtige Riff an der Ostküste fehlt, sind die Strände bestens zum Schwimmen geeignet. Dafür werden snorkeling enthusiasts hier nur bedingt zufrieden sein.
An diesen Stränden bist du weit entfernt vom Partygeschehen und etwas ab vom Schuss. Möchtest du nur ein oder zwei Ausflüge auf Koh Phangan unternehmen, stehen dir Shuttle- oder Taxiservices zur Verfügung. Wer mobiler sein möchte ist besser beraten, sich ein Cars oder einen Roller zu mieten.
War Thong Nai Pan früher eine Backpackerdestination, sind es heute die sogenannten Flashbacker, also jene Besucher von damals die heute mit Kindern und einer üppigeren Brieftasche zurück kommen. Die Thong Nai Pan Strände sind eher für das Publikum mit gehobeneren Ansprüchen anziehend, die jedoch auch den relaxten Lifestyle von Koh Phangan nicht missen möchten.
Generell ist es aber so wie fast überall auf der Insel, du findest Unterkünfte und Restaurants verschiedenster Kategorien & Preisklassen nebeneinander vor. Abends kommen alle Resorts mit Tischen oder Liegen auf den Strand hinaus und du musst dir nur mehr dein Lieblingsplätzchen suchen.

DIRECTIONS
From Thongsala Pier, head towards Haad Rin and then turn left at Ban Tai between 7 / 11 and Yoghurt Home onto Thong Nai Pan Road. After about eight kilometers, at the roundabout, follow the signs to Thong Nai Pan for another, approximately five kilometers. The driving time is approximately 35 minutes with the scooter.
