Haad Chao Phao is located on the west coast of Koh Phangan and is about half a kilometer long. The beach is lined with palm trees, the sand is bright and fine, the reef is just 100 meters off the coast. The sea is a little deeper between the beach and the reef than usual on the west coast, so you can always swim quite well. At high tide, the beach is quite narrow, but then you will find many shells in the sand. Most resorts have created beautiful tropical gardens that provide shade. Along the street you will find several shops and restaurants. But it is generally a quiet, relaxed corner in the catchment area of the yoga center Srithanu.

Travel
From Thong Sala Pier, follow the coastal road towards Srithanu. As soon as you pass Laem Son Lake, Haad Chao Phao begins. The journey takes about 20 minutes. If you take a taxi you have to expect about 200 Bath. Taxi fares can vary widely and depend on season, number of passengers and time of day.
