Have you explored all the waterfalls on Koh Phangan? In Chaloklum you will find the “Paradise Waterfall”….
Even if none of the waterfalls on Koh Phangan are as impressive as these on Koh Samui, there is also something to see here! The Paradise Waterfall you can find it in Chaloklam. If you follow the main road to Chaloklam from Thongsala, you will find a sign on the right after the Chinese Temple that tells you the way to Paradise Waterfall. The “road” up the mountain is a path that is not in the best condition, but with a little practice it can also be managed on a scooter. If you are unsure or have no experience, it is better to park your bike at the bottom and walk up the path!
After a maximum of 10 minutes walk you will reach a small resort where you pay 20 Bath “entrance fee” but you also get a small bottle of drinking water. Just behind it is a pool of the waterfall. Here you can now walk to the left of the waterfall to the top, or simply climb the mountain along the water stream. If you come to Paradise Waterfall in or after the rainy season, this alternative is not available because the waterfall will have too much water and you will have to choose the “land route” 😉
At the foot of the waterfall, as already mentioned, there is a fairly deep pool to refresh. Depending on the season, some of the upper pools are sufficiently filled for a short dip.
