Haad Namtok is another small bay on the east coast of the island. Namtok means waterfall and the name of the beach can probably be traced back to the waterfall that flows into the center of the bay. There is a single “house” on the beach where you can stay for 300 baht. However, it is just a roof and not a closed building (it was probably originally a bar). The sand at Haad Namtok is relatively coarse-grained, but the bay is very suitable for swimming due to the deep water.
You will probably need this cooling on arrival, because there is no road connection to Haad Namtok. You can therefore either arrive by long tail boat, the cost of which will be relatively high. A paddle tour with kayaks from Haad Yao East is also conceivable.
The beach can also be reached on foot, but the path is not accessible by any type of vehicle. Coming from the road to Thong Nai Pan, follow the signs to “Paradise Beach", but later you stick to the middle and walk towards the coast instead of following the signs to the right towards Haad Yao. Haad Namtok can be reached this way in about 2 hours.
The trail is worth it for those who want to discover untouched and natural bays on Koh Phangan.
