Thailand is notorious for the wide range of sexual services available here. Again and again, the traditional Thai massage is associated with it, but actually wrongly.
Clearly: There are massage parlors in Thailand that offer certain “additional services”. The term “Thai massage with a happy ending” is actually wrong.
Traditional Thai massage, sometimes also called Thai yoga massage, is based on stretching movements and pressure point massages. Ten “energy lines” that run through the body according to Ayurvedic teachings are worked through gentle stretching or pressure.
The Thai massage takes place clothed and on a mat on the ground instead. The real Thai massage lasts at least 1-2 hours and consists of 77 individual treatment techniques. Pain can certainly occur at times and it cannot necessarily be compared with a relaxing massage in the sense of “lying down and relaxing”!
So is not there a Thai massage with a happy ending?

The massage that is offered in connection with extra “handwork” is usually a simple oil massage. It is unlikely that the girls working in these establishments would initially perform complicated stretches and contortions on their customers. Also because they probably almost never have the relevant knowledge. Happy ending massages are often found in Thailand and Phangan, but probably not in conjunction with a traditional Thai massage.
Conversely, it is extremely unlikely that you will be offered a “happy ending” to your massage in a normal Thai spa. The difference between the stores and their respective services is also quite noticeable 😉
The best places for Thai massages on Koh Phangan
Here, of course, the spirits are different. In Thongsala there is the big and very professional Pure Relax Spa, which offers many different treatments. In Srithanu enjoy that Mandala Spa as well as the Papaya massage a good reputation. Be careful, the latter is considered very “hard” and can be quite painful.

Of course, many hotels also have their own spas offering massages and other treatments. Often, however, the prices here are significantly higher than in the massage salons.
How much is a Thai massage on Koh Phangan?
The Price for a Thai massage in Thailand is between 200 and 600 baht. It goes without saying that a small massage hut on the beach is cheaper than an air-conditioned spa with often specially trained masseuses. The average price in Phangan will be between 400 and 500 baht. In return you will be really “kneaded” for a full hour 😉
